BRATISLAVA, Slovakia – 22 March, 2011 – Water and sanitation infrastructure in many countries in Europe and Central Asia are in a critical state and deteriorating, often posing a threat to human health. Yet, most countries have signed or ratified core UN human rights conventions, and many regional treaties recognize the right to water.
